Mráz Agro CZ plc was established in 2004 by transforming the activities of Vladimír Mráz, a natural person, who had been active in the market since 1996. MrázAgroCZ has its headquarters in Blatná in thesouth of the Czech Republic, and centres in Plzeň, Červená Řečice, and network of sales represantatives throughout the Czech Republic.
Currently, MrázAgroCZ operates throughout the Czech Republic. It has 58 staff members and an annual turnover of CZK 175 million.
The company’s activities include namely
- Purchase, sales, and processing of brewer’s and maltster’s by-products: malt draff, fresh brewer’s yeast, dry brewer’s yeast, malt sprouts, barley waste and fraction, barley waste grains and admixtures, malt dust, malt fraction, barley dust, rest beer, and beer sludge;
- Purchase and sales of by-products produced by other food processing industries, especially cooperation with sugar mills, starch plants, flour mills, organic distilleries, and dairies;
- Production of industrial and food starch in the starch plant in Červená Řečice, since 2005: production and sales of bait mixtures, boilie mixtures for fish, and the production and sales of supplemental feed mixtures for pigeons;
- Purchase and sales of malting barley and other agricultural commodities;
- Production of bio-fuel pellets made from the waste produced by cleaning farm crops in the premises based in Všemyslice u Týna nad Vltavou.
- In the field of brewer’s and maltster’s by-products, we cooperate with a number of leading breweries such as Plzeňský Prazdroj, Budvar, Radegast, Staropramen, Ostravar, Velké Popovice, Starobrno, Znojmo, Louny, Velké Březno, Ústí nad Labem, Kutná Hora, Žatec, Rakovník, Vratislavice, Ježek Jihlava, Humpolec, Samson, and Platan Protivín as well as malt houses such as Hodonice, Nymburk, Prostějov, Plzeňský Prazdroj malt house, Rajhrad, and Zábřeh. The annual volume is 200,000 tonnes of draff, more than 220,000 hl of fresh brewer’s yeast, and over 7,000 tonnes of malting products.
Fresh brewer’s yeast is supplied dried by roll dryers for use in the feed industry. In May 2003, a new brewer’s yeast drying plant opened in the premises ofCKT Gambrinus. The annual production volume of this plant is 700 tonnes. At the same time, yeast is also offered in wet form for farm animal feed.
In the field of implementation, the company has been specialising in long-term cooperation with specific agricultural enterprises. Currently, we cooperate with approximately 200 primary agricultural producers. We aim for the best possible utilisation of by-products; therefore, it has been our constant effort to improve different types of drying technologies as well as various preserving and stabilising methods.
In its activities, MrázAgroCZ has always been striving to apply new findings in the field of feeding, preserving, and stabilising draff and yeast. Therefore, it has established cooperation with leading research and development workplaces such as Výzkumný ústav živočišné výroby Uhříněves, Ústřední kontrolní a zkušební ústav zemědělský, Výzkumný ústav pivovarský a sladařský Prague, Česká zemědělská univerzita Prague, PIVO Prague s.r.o., Jihočeská universita České Budějovice, Mendelova universita Brno, VŠCHT Prague as well as feed companies such as České Sano, Schaumann, Arco s.r.o, Mikrop Čebín, Biofaktory Prague, Tekro, VVS Verměřovice, Dibaq Helvíkovice, Agrokonzulta Žamberk, Fidesagro, Fremis Čechtice, Trewit Zlín, Agropol Group a.s. members, Agrofert Holding a.s., and other farm crop resellers.
MrázAgroCZ is a routine participant in specialist workshops and events, such as brewing and malting workshops, workshops held by feed companies, and congresses organized by Českomoravské združení organizací ZZN as well as trade fairs such as Techagro Brno, Země Živitelka, Hobby, Zemědělská výstava Kralovice, Viva Natura, breeder’s shows around the Czech Republic, Agro Nitra, Ried, Wels, Salima Brno, and Brau Beviale Nuremberg. At the same time, the company has been publishing its experience and knowledge tested in the field in the Kvasný průmysl magazine.
In accordance with Act 185/2001 Coll. of 15 May 2001 on waste, MrázAgroCZ is a trade licence holder in the field of business titled ‘‘Handling waste, excluding hazardous waste”.In addition, MrázAgroCZ is an approved company under Article 9 of EC Regulation No. 183/2005 on feed hygiene, including primary production premises.
