For smaller animals
Brewer’s yeast - a feed supplement and material for the production of feed mixtures for small animals
An ample source of native B-group vitamins, nitrogen substances, amino acids, minerals, and trace elements.
Dried brewer’s yeast, devitalised Saccharomyces cerevisiae, var. Carlsbergiensis, provide native B-group vitamins essential for the metabolism of sugar, protein, and fat.Brewer’s yeast has a positive impact namely on stamina, reproduction, growth and development in young animals, disease and stress resistance, proper growth, development and quality of the coat, plumage, and skin, impact on self-reproduction, and performance. In addition, brewer’s yeast is a source of emergency energy in case of stress.

Compounds
Brewer’s yeast is a source of highly digestible nitrogen substances. The biological value of dry brewer’s yeast can be specified namely by the level of essential amino acids that cannot be synthesised by the farm animal’s body such as lysine, methionine, cysteine, leucine, valine, isoleucine, and others. In addition, this high biological value is determined by the favourable level of B-group vitamins, namely thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), and pantothenic acid (vitamin B3), and by the content of minerals and trace elements, especially phosphorus, potassium, iron, copper, and zinc.As feed, dried brewer’s yeast is namely useful in feed mixtures for high-performance animals, young animals such as piglets, calves, chicks, and small animals of all species, and recovering animals.
Considering the high levels of proteins and the digestibility of amino acids in brewer’s yeast as well as the fact that it is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, the fodder should be included in the diet of all farm animal species as well as those of domestic pets and exotic animals, namely the young animals such as piglets, calves, chicks, and small animals of all species, and for recovering animals.
