The best from the malt house
Malt culms are the most valuable co-product of malt processing and a popular feed material. Compared with cereals, it contains about twice the amount of crude protein. Malt culms are a significant source of protein (250–280 g/kg) and are particularly suitable for cattle rations. Beyond its protein content, it adds aroma and improves the palatability of rations. It is especially useful in compound feed mixtures (particularly for dairy cows and young stock). It is well accepted and supports the intake of other feeds. Malt culms have beneficial effects on lactation and are also added to silage to improve its structure and increase its nutritional value.
