Brewer’s Yeast Mráz Agro® Natural. Sustainable. Practical.
Do you want to boost your animals’ health in a purely natural way? Choose a proven solution – dried brewer’s yeast is a choice that both the animal and the farmer will appreciate.
Brewer’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is a by-product of beer production. But that certainly doesn’t mean it’s waste. On the contrary – thanks to gentle drying at low temperatures, it retains exceptional nutritional properties, making it one of the most valuable natural feed materials on the market. It contains a high proportion of high-quality, easily digestible proteins (up to 45%), a natural complex of B vitamins (including B12), beta-glucans, mannan-oligosaccharides, and other bioactive substances that have a direct impact on the health and vitality of animals.
Why include brewer’s yeast in the feed ration?
Brewer’s yeast naturally supports digestion, healthy growth, immune defenses, and the animal’s overall condition. Animals accept it very well thanks to its naturally pleasant aroma and taste – making it an excellent means of increasing feed intake even in picky individuals. Sustainability and purity of production also ensure that the yeast contains no chemical additives, colorants, or artificial preservatives.
Its inclusion in feed helps during demanding life stages – growth, pregnancy, lactation, recovery after illness, or during winter when animals are exposed to higher stress. Yeast improves feed conversion, helps maintain gut microbiota balance, and can reduce the occurrence of certain digestive problems.
Dogs and dried brewer’s yeast
While brewer’s yeast has held a firm place in livestock production for many years, it is increasingly coming to the forefront in pet foods. For dogs, it offers a simple and natural way to support their health without the need for chemical additives.
Regular administration of yeast to dogs brings several specific benefits:
- Healthy, shiny coat – thanks to the high content of biotin, niacin, and other B vitamins, the coat becomes softer, denser, and sheds less.
- Stronger immunity – β-glucans activate immune cells and increase the dog’s resistance to disease, stress, or environmental changes.
- Healthy skin – yeast improves skin development, helps with itching, and supports regeneration, especially in allergic dogs.
- Digestive support – live yeast components promote gut microbiota balance and may reduce diarrhea occurrence.
- Natural tick repellence – in many dogs, long-term supplementation has been observed to reduce tick occurrence, likely due to changes in skin and blood odor.
- Suitable even for puppies – supports nervous system development, muscle growth, and a healthy metabolism.
Administration is very simple – either mixed into the regular daily feed or as part of home-cooked meals. The recommended dosage is approx. 1–5 g per 10 kg of body weight daily. It can be used long-term or seasonally, e.g., during shedding or before winter.
Versatile use in animal husbandry
Dried brewer’s yeast is suitable for a wide range of animals:
- Cattle – supports growth, milk production, and rumen health.
- Pigs – improves feed conversion and strengthens piglet health.
- Poultry – better growth, higher egg quality, stronger plumage.
- Horses – calming effect, improved digestion, and coat support.
- Sheep, goats, rabbits – better feed conversion and immunity.
- Fish and aquaculture – valuable protein source, immune stimulant, and growth enhancer.
