Juicy fibre for high milk yield

Sugar beet pulp is a fresh, water-pressed co-product of sugar beet processing — pressed immediately after sugar extraction, with a high water content (typically 20–24% dry matter). At around 22% dry matter, it contains on average 90 g protein, 200 g fibre (of which 110 g is soluble pectin fibre), and approx. 11 g Ca per kg DM, providing about 4.5 MJ MEs per kg DM. Thanks to its highly digestible pectin fibre, it contributes to a favourable rumen environment, improves silage consistency and feed intake, enhances ration palatability, and supports both milk production and weight gain.

Sugar beet pulp has excellent nutritional value for all categories of cattle, sheep, and goats. It is an outstanding energy source in ruminant diets. A valuable feature is that it contains no starch, making it less risky for rumen acidosis compared with cereal grains.
